At the Scramble, students from area agricultural programs work individually and together to catch a calf. The winners are given a voucher for an animal to raise the following year. 

Throughout the year, students learn every aspect of raising these animals. This includes agricultural impact, budgeting/financing, responsibility, time management, and showmanship.
